Walnut media wall

Updated: Jul 1, 2023

Project Location : Milton Keynes

This project started out with the clients having purchased a number of accupanel slats from the wood veneer hub and so we were commissioned to build a design around this. Initially we proposed a two tone scheme for the unit and to come within budget a mix of walnut veneer, Rubio Monocoat oiled and a soft touch melamine finish. Ultimately when you use melamine for external finishes next to any veneered product it will look less, so mid installation we proposed replacing the entire white melamine section with Walnut veneer. Keeping the contrast uprights in raw state. As the veneer is real wood, not all of the walnut matches, which works well to break the pallet of cabinetry.
